Feature Control

The Feature Control module allows you to simplify and speed up your WordPress admin panel by hiding unnecessary elements and disabling unnecessary features.

What does this module do?

This module acts as an admin panel cleaner – removing elements that can be distracting, slow down performance, or are unnecessary in your daily work.

Main Module Sections:

1. Dashboard Widgets

By default, the WordPress dashboard displays many widgets that are often redundant. You can hide:

* WordPress Events and News – news and events from the world of WordPress
* Quick Draft – a quick draft of a post
* Activity – recent posts and comments
* Site Health – site health status (optionally useful)
* At a Glance – content statistics
* Plugin Widgets – widgets added by other plugins (Yoast, RankMath, etc.)
* Welcome Panel – the "Welcome to WordPress!" welcome panel

Benefits: a cleaner dashboard, faster loading, and fewer distractions.

2. Admin Interface Elements

You can hide the interface elements you don't need:

* Help Tabs – help tabs in the upper right corner
* Screen Options – screen options in the upper right corner
* Update Notifications – update notifications for non-admins
* WordPress Logo – the WordPress logo in the admin bar
* Login Logo – change the logo on the login page to your website icon
* Login Appearance – modern look of the login page and hide the language switcher

Benefit: a more professional look and a lower learning curve for new users.

3. WooCommerce Optimizations

If you use WooCommerce, you can disable resource-intensive features:

* WooCommerce Analytics – analytics (the most optimized)
* Marketplace Suggestions – suggestions from the WooCommerce marketplace
* Dashboard Status – dashboard status widget
* Admin Notices – WooCommerce administrative notifications
* Marketing Hub – marketing hub
* Inbox – notification box
* Usage Tracker – usage tracking
* Setup Wizard

Benefit: a significantly faster admin panel for stores that don't need these features.

4. WordPress Features

You can modify the behavior of core WordPress features:

* Slow Heartbeat – slows down the Heartbeat mechanism from 15 to 60 seconds (reduces server load)
* XML-RPC – disables XML-RPC (improves security)
* Post Revisions – limits the number of post revisions to 3 (instead of unlimited)
* Remove jQuery Migrate – removes the obsolete jQuery Migrate script from the frontend
* REST API (Logged Out) – disables the REST API for logged-out users
* Custom Login URL – custom login address (e.g., yourdomain.pl/login instead of yourdomain.pl/wp-login.php)
* Disabled Behavior – behavior after attempting to access the old login address (404 error or redirection to the home page)

Benefits: improved security, reduced database load, faster website.

Why use this module?

1. Faster admin panel – fewer elements to load means better performance
2. Cleaner interface – fewer distractions, easier work
3. Better security – hiding WordPress version information, custom login address
4. Lower server load – disabling unnecessary features reduces resource consumption
5. Professional look – custom logo on the login page, modern design

How does it work?

All options are available as toggle switches (checkboxes) – simply select what you want to hide or disable and save your changes. Changes are applied immediately.

Important: the module does not delete any data – it only hides interface elements and disables unnecessary features. You can restore everything at any time by unchecking the appropriate boxes.
